m-doc4IV&m-docDOT – TAČR 10

The aim of the project is to develop two types of hemostatic intravenous coverings Clear4IV and m-docDOT based on the active hemostatic substance m-doc™ - micro-dispersed oxidized cellulose, the production of which is patented by Hemcon Medical Technologies CZ s.r.o. The Clear4IV intravenous cover will be used for medium and long-term coverage of invasive IV medical devices (needles, catheters, etc.) with a visible puncture area, where after their removal it will be possible to treat the bleeding wound with the same cover. The second type of more compact m-docDOT hemostatic IV cover will be applicable to stop bleeding and intensely bleeding wounds after invasive IV procedures such as hemodialysis.
